Three newsletters
in three days
may be a bit much.

But right now -
the world is a bit much :)

Yep,
the dollar today -
again at a new lowest low
than it has ever been.

And,
oil for a while at a
new highest high
of $103 a barrel.

Dow -
down over $300 today
and being Friday -
that is always interesting.

My intended purpose today -
was to send you another link
to go with all those
that I sent to you yesterday.
You really should keep those
handy on a notepad or somewhere.

The new link had some exceptional info -
but I noticed just now -
that the items
that I wanted to point you at
are gone.

Still,
it is an interesting link -
with lots of rapidly changing important information.

Well -
today saw the close of the business day for the week -
AND
the close of the business day for the month -
so I was waiting to hear the news announced -
"of the end of the Canadian Banks financial world".

As anticipated two days ago -
it has been delayed.
Anyway - so they say.
Not sure how they can do that -
because it someways to may be like -
decreeing that the sun will not come up -
tomorrow.

Nevertheless -
these headlines and links just in:

ABCP fix to be delayed until end of April
BOYD ERMAN

Globe and Mail Update

February 29, 2008 at 6:13 PM EST

The investor group that's seeking a restructuring plan for $33-billion in
frozen asset-backed commercial paper confirmed that the fix will be delayed
until the end of April, as details of the plan, such as participation by
Canadian banks, have yet to be nailed down amid crumbling credit markets.

--------
Yep,
crumbling credit markets
crumbling financial world
crumbling economy
crumbling world -
but up here in Canada
it is thought to be only in the US
because the MSM repeatedly tells everyone that -
and that Canada has no problems.

-----------------
I don't think that I will say
anything about current events
because everyone knows about them
and the current is so fast
that everything washes away
before I can write an analysis of it.

I do hear from lots of people
about their concerns regarding events
about premonitions they are having
and dreams of disaster.
It is all a sign of the times.

Sort of had a dream myself.
Was so moved by something
that I had read on the Internet -
that I got up in the middle of the night
and wrote a poem about it.

It is a true story -
and I wish that I could give you a source -
but I searched for an hour
and couldn't find it again.
If someone can point me to it -
I will appreciate it.

Here is the poem.

Then Came the Wolf
(A True Doggy Story)

Driving beneath the dimming evening sky -
October chill was already nigh
the family knew not -
what ahead of them did lie.

The double-wide was lit bright
but not a soul in sight.
Mother was gone -
wandering in the gathering twilight.

A quick search of the area around
then an urgent call to police in town.
Ninety-three year old lady -
wandering in her gown.

Forces arriving by car
some from near some from afar.
Lights and calls across the terrain -
set the peace of the night ajar.

All through the night
they did search with all their might.
But not a sound did they hear -
and not a sign did they sight.

Then a phone rang a county away
reaching the tracker at the break of day.
Dead tired ending a night of duty -
he heard what the caller had to say.

The situation is terrible,
the family's grief unbearable.
Please come assist -
although success is now improbable.

The night has been cold and long,
and the old lady was not strong.
Still, we must at least her body find -
and to quit now would be wrong.

The tracker explained the dogs were tired,
after a long duty night their ability expired.
But since something must be done -
he would bring two old dogs who had retired.

Across the county roads the car careened,
bringing the dog and tracker team.
Now fourteen hours too late -
they arrived at the fateful scene.

Tracker and dogs hunt as a pack,
tracker using skills that dogs lack.
The tracker acts as Alpha male -
setting the dogs on the proper track.

Dogs on their own move relatively slow
and tire out if they have far to go.
Tracker however possibilities sees
of what a human would do and know.

One dog to the left the other to the right
and each may range sometimes out of sight.
A call from the tracker is given -
and the pattern is made tight.

No luck here and no luck there -
though a general direction they share.
Here a trail a person might choose -
the tracker must decide with care.

Nose to the wind nose to the ground
they move in circles on around.
No trail now only bramble and bush -
No noise or calls only silence for sound.

Finally, dog to the right bays as a sign,
moves more quickly than before time.
Over the hill and out of sight -
Dog to the left turns and joins the chime.

Two old dogs over the hill,
doing the job they were trained for still.
Many miles have fallen beneath their feet -
but with devotion their duty they fill.

At last from the first the howl that is best,
and a bit later the second joins from his chest.
What terrible scene he will find -
thinks the tracker over the hill crest.

There between his two giant dogs 150 pounds each,
sits a little 90 pound lady keeping them in reach.
One on one side and one on the other -
their voices raised in howling screech.

Target found and apparently alive,
reports the tracker on channel five.
Bring in a team and gurney -
150 yards beyond which you can drive.

No release for the dogs held so tight -
by their fur with all of a little old lady's might.
By the gurney to the ambulance they must trot -
for she will not let them out of sight.

Confused by what she had been through
she then began to speak out of the blue.
I was alone and afraid and it was so cold and dark -
and I had no idea of what to do.

The sun finally rose over me
but I had no idea where I might be.
It was then that the wolf came -
and sang to me.

Then came another wolf and sang also,
raising heads and voices to the One we know.
The One that watches over us -
over whatever path that we go.

----------
I am of course a
God
and dog
lover -
so I would write such a poem -
but for the last couple of nights since -
I have be analyzing my subconcious
about it.

The trauma of the old lady
is of course the trauma
that we are all facing
now in the winter of our souls
as society collapses about us.

The world that she faced -
and the world that we face -
her emotions regarding her trial -
and our concerns, fears and emotions -
are all parallel.

But the sun rises -
and we give praise to Creator -
and the Wolf that He has sent
to guide and protect us.

My personal Two Wolves -
are the Bab and Baha'u'llah -
between Whom I find my security.
This will of course not be
meaningful to others -
but we each travel our own paths -
and I hope that you find also -
security on yours.

None of us can be sure
where our paths lead.
But - all is well
so long as it is the Will of God.

I have heard today -
more about my own path
leading to Germany in August -
should our world continue that long.

I have been invited to speak
at a conference
at a university there -
but it will take a miracle
of course -
for us to get there.

We were supposed to go to a party
this evening
with my daughter and grandchildren -
but intense snow has prevented that
so instead -
you have received poetry from me.

Man proposes -
but
God disposes,
so none of us know
what will actually occur.

It is entertaining however -
to watch as it happens.

Peace and love,
Bruce
