[Arktwo] Torture approved

This week's news is - 
that President Bush, 
V.P. Cheney,  
and America's leadership 
approved of torture.

Jesus taught:

Luke 6:31 
And as ye would that men should do to you, 
do ye also to them likewise.

This is known as the Golden Rule.

I see the Teachings of Jesus - 
as being more than 
simply idealist thoughts - 
suggestions, goals or guidelines. 
I see them as being 
the Command of God.

For this reason alone 
I am opposed to 
extreme interrogation methods - 
the current buzz word for - 
torture. 

Even as a government's policy - 
or a peoples' policy - 
how can this be justified? 
Is this the way 
that we want our troops to be treated? 
Do we feel that an enemy 
would be justified 
in treating our troops in this way? 

There are International Laws 
that forbid the use of torture. 
If someone else violates those laws -
are they not criminals? 
If we violate the laws - 
are we not criminals. 

Is all really fair - 
in love and war - 
and there are no laws applicable -
(Divine or otherwise)  
to keep us from: 
torturing - 
using chemicals such as gas - 
planting mines that will harm children - 
using weapons of mass destruction? 

Perhaps the idea of 
chivalrous warfare - 
a code of honor - 
justified and legal means - 
has now all passed away - 
and humanity has passed into 
completely barbarous attitudes. 
If so - 
America appears to be leading the way.

Even if these are the realities 
of the world - 
I still wonder - 
"What has happened 
to Americans' sense of fairness?"

Suppose that 
another country 
suspected that the US might have 
weapons of mass destruction? 
(As the US feels about NK and Iran.)

Suppose that 
another country 
felt that the US was imposing 
upon its economic interests?
(As the US feels about its oil interests - 
in the Middle East.)

Suppose that 
another country 
felt that the US should not 
be allowed into its geographic area? 
(As the US feels about the Monroe Doctrine.)

Suppose that 
another country 
felt that the customs of the US 
in the way women were allowed to dress - 
and the way sex was portrayed 
in the movies was immoral? 
(As many Americans are concerned that women 
have to wear veils 
and are not allowed to drive in other countries.) 

Suppose that 
another country 
felt that the US needed 
a change of government? 
(As the US felt about Iraq, - 
and feels about NK and others.)

Now suppose - 
that other country 
felt all the above was true - 
and bombed the US with shock and awe.
(I know - 
this is all fantasy - 
because the US is big and powerful - 
but we are just supposing.)

And suppose 
that other country 
invaded the US - 
and wherever you went 
you saw the soldiers of this other country - 
speaking a language you can't understand - 
wearing head attire 
different from your culture - 
and you knew that they believed 
in a religion different from your religion. 

And wherever you went - 
you saw these foreign soldiers 
carrying weapons - 
and you knew that any one of them 
could suddenly stop you - 
or your wife - 
or children - 
and that time and again 
you heard how they had killed 
tens of thousands 
perhaps hundreds of thousands 
of your fellow citizens. 

Now - 
with all this happening around you 
in America - 
what would be your attitude 
towards those foreign soldiers? 

Would you want them to leave? 
Would you by any chance wish some of them dead? 

Would you feel 
that what they were doing was right? 
Shall we say - 
'right before the eyes of God?'

Whatever - 
Americans continue to see 
their country 
as being God's favoured country - 
and that God is on their side. 

Much of the rest world 
sees America as being 
the country of Satan, 
and we have not mentioned anything 
about their feelings 
about American Corporations 
and the CIA and its support 
of dictators in their countries. 

Whichever - 
that is the way it is in the world. 
The most powerful nation on one side - 
and most of the rest of the world - 
on the other side - 
heading towards a confrontation - 
that God will judge. 

I hope that God 
is not angry with America. 
I am not - 
but I am pained about the things - 
that I feel America is doing wrong. 

Years ago America was given so much - 
in its Constitution - 
in its natural resources - 
in its churches and missionaries - 
in the morality - 
and generosity of its people. 

But now much of all that is gone. 
At one time 
it was the hope of its founders 
that America was going to be 
an example to the rest of the world. 

Now America has become materialistic - 
consumes by far most per capita - 
of the world's 
energy 
food 
water 
natural resources 

And American has become immoral - 
producing by far most per capita 
of the world's 
immoral entertainment - 
war materials - 
radiation pollution -
land mines that maim children. 

Yes, 
I am disappointed with America - 
and concerned that 
God may be angry with her. 

Jesus said: 

Luke 12:48 ...For unto whomsoever much is given, 
of him shall be much required: 
and to whom men have committed much, 
of him they will ask the more.

I am afraid 
that America has asked 
for it. 

One may wish to blame the leaders - 
but I don't see masses of people 
marching in the streets 
to protest torture 
or the other atrocities, 
so if the wrath of God 
falls on America - 
I think that it will fall 
on all the people.

Bush got clobbered 
this week 
in his NATO meeting. 

North Korea stills seems 
as disturbed as ever - 
and China took immense blows 
this week 
regarding the Olympics.

The news all week 
has been about the immense 
arms build-up 
around Israel 
in Lebanon - 
in Syria - 
by Hezbollah - 
by Hamas. 

Iran this week 
made another gigantic boost 
in its nuclear preparations. 

Lots of deaths this week in Iraq - 
which have been largely blamed on Iran -
and the sword rattling against Iran 
by Petreaus, Gates, Cheney, and Bush, 
has been immense.

Failure of the US and World economies - 
will simply further destabilize 
a world that is already totally unstable. 
There are all sorts of speculations 
as to what motives this situation 
will give to who - 
to do what.

At Ark Two 
preparations still continue apace. 
Rain for the last several days 
is diminishing the snow drifts - 
and on Wednesday 
Jean and I went in 
and looked at the last big one. 
I think I could have dug through it -
but now with the rain - 
may not need to. 

Help is supposed to come tomorrow - 
to work on the batteries 
and we should soon be able 
to get the Bell Telephone vehicles in. 

Always lots to do. 
If we knew that nuclear WW3 
was going to start next week - 
we would go into panic mode - 
and work night and day. 
But of course we don't know that. 

In point of fact - 
I don't expect there to be 
any warning - 
when it does happen. 
I don't know how much more warning - 
one might feel that there should be - 
than what we have had 
over the last half century.

We at Ark Two, are, 
in point of fact - 
ready. 
But one can always be 
more ready. 

There was lots of speculation - 
which I didn't pass on - 
about attacks around Easter - 
and there remains much speculation 
regarding the end of April 
and the first part of May. 

My personal expectation - 
which I can't explain - 
is in the second half of July. 
I can't explain it - 
not because it is a secret 
or anything, 
but just because it is unexplainable. 

I don't get visions or anything. 
And I don't believe God will time the event - 
for my benefit. 
But - 
I do hope that God keeps us in sync - 
with His plans. 

Before I have had expectations 
based upon my understanding 
of prophecies. 
They have always been wrong. 
(A prime example was 2000 
and the end of the millennium.)

Before I have had expectations 
based upon my understanding 
of geopolitical events. 
They have always been wrong. 
(A prime example was 
Sharon's retreat from Gaza 
which I thought was the preparation 
for Israel attacking. 
It may well have been Sharon's plan - 
but then perhaps God intervened -
in the form of Sharon's stroke.)

Nevertheless - 
I feel that I have led 
a very blessed life - 
and guided life.
Now preparations seem to be 
culminating for 
the second half of July. 

It will all seem crazy to you - 
and it may well be crazy - 
but this is the way it works 
in my paradigm.

I feel that my primary calling 
in this world 
is not Ark Two - 
but rather to work on 
the World Language Process. 
I feel that what has been accomplished - 
so far - 
with WLP - 
has been miraculous. 

We have a letter of understanding 
with China - 
regarding the Olympics. 
Others around me, 
for years, 
have been distressed - 
that we have not had the funds 
to proceed. 

I have always maintained - 
that the Olympics would be delayed - 
and subsequently - 
when China does hold them - 
that the needed resources will be there. 

The first part of this - 
the delay of the Olympics 
is seeming more and more possible. 
World opposition to the Olympics 
in China - 
has been rapidly accelerating - 
but also have other world conditions. 

It seems to me 
that these latter conditions 
may climax in nuclear WW3 
towards the end of July - 
thus preventing the Olympics 
from taking place at this time. 

Should nuclear WW3 take place 
before August - 
then two of the things 
that will help promote 
the third attempt 
at the establishment of a peaceful world - 
will be the holding of the Olympics 
and the selection of a 
Universal Auxiliary Language. 

I know that no one else 
sees / expects / believes 
this chain of events - 
but nevertheless - 
it is what motivates me - 
and I am making every effort 
to get all those who support Ark Two - 
to come for the second half of July.
