this is happening -
the following may help explain it.

WASHINGTON, Sept 27  (Reuters) - 
With the U.S. government fast approaching 
its current $8.965  trillion credit limit, 
the Senate on Thursday 
gave final congressional approval  
of an $850 billion increase 
in U.S. borrowing authority. 

The Senate voted  53-42 
to raise the debt ceiling 
to $9.815 trillion, 
the fifth increase in the  U.S. credit limit 
since President George W. Bush took office.

"We have no choice but to approve it. 
(otherwise) the U.S. Treasury will default 
for the first time  in its history," 
said Senate Finance Committee Chairman...

"Plainly, especially in this credit crisis, 
we cannot let that happen," (he) added. 

Last week 
Treasury Secretary Henry  Paulson 
said the government 
would hit its current $8.965 trillion debt limit 
on  Oct. 1. 

"Families across America 
don't have the luxury 
of loaning themselves any money 
when they've maxed out their credit. 
But that's what we're going to do," ...

U.S. debt stood at about $5.6 trillion 
at the start of Bush's presidency.

Did you see that sudden straight dip for an hour 
this morning on the stock market - 
before the Plunge Protection Team 
appears to have stepped in 
and smoothed it back out.

And the other one just before closing  -
but once again it was gotten back up -
so no big disruption for the weekend.

Word is that the derivative roll-over 
is going splendidly. 

Don't ask me for an explanation. 
I don't have one.

I regret to report 
that our Maryland TEAM Leader 
has passed on. 

Second TEAM Leader within a month. 
Nebraska TEAM Leader passed on earlier. 

Both were extremely supportive of Ark Two - 
and will be missed 
along with a couple of other supporters 
that we have lost recently. 

It may be that the Lord is moving 
deserving people 
to a better place 
so that they won't have to go through 
what is coming. 

If that is the case -
I expect a lot of you to be leaving soon. 
May be the next best thing 
to being raptured.

So, anyway, other than that Mrs. Lincoln, 
it looks like we should have 
a splendid weekend. 

When we come back Monday - 
the dollar 
may be down another nickle 
in the world 
but other than that - 
everything is just loverly, 
my dear lady.
