[Arktwo] When.

When?
Always a big question with me.
For decades
I have thought the Great Catastrophe
to be imminent.
For decades
I have been wrong.

Not that
that has been a bad thing.
Lots of living in the interim
in what we will remember
as being 'the good old days'.
Also -
always having the imminent expectation
may have been very beneficial -
because it has
allowed / encouraged us to prepare
in ways totally beyond
most anyone's comprehension.

The big item in today's news -
(not in the US MSM)

	http://tinyurl.com/33ytg8

is what is happening in Pakistan.
Should the rebels overthrow
the US government ally -
then there has been a long-standing
contingency plan
that U.S. military commanders in the region,
would be tasked with 'securing' the nukes.

Another major shift
is what is happening in the
monetary / currency markets.

Back in November of 2004 I wrote:

"India is reported going (or having gone)
for the Euro.
Cuba says it will no longer take dollars
in its stores.
Iran says that it will move to the Euro
in the next few months.
Russia says it is no longer supporting the dollar.
The Rothschild's have gotten out (after centuries)
of setting the official price of Gold.
In the economic / monetary world -
I would say those are almost the equivalent
of nuclear weapons being thrown.
There isn't one thing on that list
that probably doesn't bother Bush."

Then last month
"China also stopped building its reserve
of dollars"

Now today I have received
the following information:

“private gold banks (are)
allowing account holders
(we are talking about the BIG guys here)
to make international payments in the form of shares in actual gold bars.

"the U.S. Government (has) shut down eGold,
the oldest private electronic gold bank
(for the little guys) -
(accused of fostering pornography
and international crime).
(People have no concept
of the international crimes
of the world major financial organizations.)

And on the same day
that the indictments came out against eGold,
Brinks, a U.S. firm that provides
bullion vaulting services,
dropped BullionVault as a client.

BullionVault allowed individuals
to easily and efficiently move
their fiat currencies into physical gold.

Last week someone asked me
to negotiate a gold exchange for them.
I tried at several bank "gold counters"
in Toronto -
and learned to my amazement -
that the banks did not want to buy back
the gold they had sold -
because it was now "old gold".

Major, major hurdles
have been put in place
to prevent individuals
from holding gold.

These are just too many instances
for me not to be able to definitively say -
that something is afoot -
although I know not what.

Meanwhile -
down at the Ark -
another major contribution yesterday -
by Thunderlight to the archive.
Fred has it downloaded
but we don't know yet how many DVDs
it will take to store it.

And Susan brought by the CPS
an 1800 page tome that is the
Compendium of Pharmaceuticals and Specialties.
She is now doing her practicum.
We never thought conditions would permit her
to get this far.

Off to Emerge this morning -
and so back onto the catheter
for a few days.
That mostly wiped out the day
although a group of thirty dropped by
who I was able to put to good use
in moving around some heavy stuff
that needed to be moved.

So here we are -
ready or not -
or more accurately -
ready -
whether or not.

When -
is one of those questions
that psychiatrists ask
to determine whether a person is sane.

Some people dropped from the newsletter
this last time -
because I discuss such issues.
They think that I should stick
to the issue of survival.
But -
what this newsletter is really about -
is WHY you should want to survive.

As to when -
Do you know when this is?
Do you know what day / year this is?
Do you know in what day you are living?

Most people don't.
Time is another one of those illusions
that people share.
It designates are a convention -
that vary from locale to locale,
and time zone to time zone -
with boundaries
international date lines
clock conventions such as daylight saving
and calendar conventions
that vary from culture to culture
and religion to religion.

We usually measure its passage
by the revolving of the earth
separating night from day -
but once off the planet
and into space -
the sun shines constantly.

For the physicist -
speed and gravitation affect time.
Not that I understand it -
but according to them
clocks - not just the mechanism -
but time itself speeds up and slows down.
In fact -
there are experiments and models -
which I can personally demonstrate
that it can go backwards.
Illusions are not reliable.

Today we measure and observe time
on scales unimaginable
a couple of centuries ago.
>From the yoctosecond (10 to the -24 second)
to the exasecond (10 to the 18th second)
(supposed age of the universe).

In the time it takes your heart
to beat just once,
the computer you are using
will complete about one billion clock cycles,
and the electron of a hydrogen atom
that you have breathed
will have circled its proton
about 1 quadrillion (10 to the 15th) times.

And to think -
when I was a kid -
we used to think that a jiffy
(later formally defined as
one sixtieth of a second)
was a pretty quick time.

Our personal perceptions of time
generally deal with
a very narrow width -
just as do our perceptions of space -
between the atoms and the galaxies.

To introduce my grandchildren
to where they are in space -
I take them to a large three
in the backyard -
and starting on the basis of a scale
we use the tree as the sun
and walk out from there
to points that would be the orbit
of each of the closer planets.
A nice little nature walk.
Later we take a drive to visit Pluto.
The nearest star -
is too far to go.

Likewise,
for time,
I take a couple of long tables,
and cover it with a long sheet
from a roll of brown wrapping paper -
and then have them draw a scaled
histomap from geological time
to the present.

It is in the last couple of feet
of the table that we deal
with all of recorded history
and within the last few inches
with most events that we consider
to be of significance.
Certainly most things of invention
and technology are at one end of the table.

Yesterday,
my wife was noting that
our grandchildren think
TV has always existed.
And tonight my son in Taiwan
commented that High schools there
are so distant -
that children stay overnight
to attend them.

Life comes full circle.
My wife's father drove her to town
on Sunday night for High school
and then on Friday evening came
with again with the horse and cutter
to bring her back over the frozen roads
for the weekend.

While we may return
for awhile
after the catastrophe
to such a simpler form of life -
this day in which we live
is entirely different
from the centuries past.

Someone transported
from the first century
before Christ
to the seventeen centuries afterwards
would have found the
customs,
dress,
language,
a bit different -
but comprehensible.

Someone transported
from the first decade
before 1800
to 17 decades afterwards
would find the world incomprehensible
in that they could not unguided
move about in it.

It is not just change in technology -
but change in institutions
that have wrought immense disconnect.
government,
literacy,
longevity,
warfare,
currencies,
employment,
diet,
leisure,
and in many ways
the totality of life
is completely different
for many people
than it was for their ancestors
but a century ago.

Unfortunately,
most people accept
unperceivingly / uncomprehendingly the world about them -
and just assume -
that is the way it is.

They do not look
over the spectrum of time
and recognize that they live
in a special day.
The day of fulfillment -
for the human race on this planet.
The springtime of the human species
as it blossoms from
centuries and millennia
of dormancy and incubation
into the potential that awaits it.

What we are witnessing
is the birth of the human race.
The change involved
in the emergence from the womb of the past
to the expression of the potentials
that have long been developing there.

Just as the new born child -
does not at first express
its potentials -
so also the human race -
still remains spiritually immature.

The physical capabilities are evident -
as with the child
that can now run, talk, act -
but comprehension of the purpose of life
and how the new capabilities of
communication
transportation
computers
energy
and so forth
should be used
are still severely lacking.

For the individual -
adolescence is often accompanied by the maturing
of physical capabilities -
such as the ability to drive a car -
without the maturing of intellectual
and spiritual capabilities
as to how
and for what purpose
it should be driven.

The child at first
is not aware of the immensity
into which it has been born -
nor the locus in the timeline
of which it is a part.

The same is true of humanity collectively.
It understands neither its
past
present or
future.

The child is first bound
by the custom of its parents.
It inherits their
race
language
culture
religion.

If the child truly matures
it will see THAT is all coincidence
of where it happened to be born.
The maturing mind will recognize
the actuality of one human race
the need for one language of communication
the participation in a world culture
the universality of the teachings of religion.

Collectively -
the maturing of humanity awaits
the universal recognition of each of these points.
That will come about
only as individuals
achieve,
apply,
and teach them.

The transition is going to be painful.
Adolescence for the individual
and for humanity as a whole
is always the most difficult point
in the continuum.

You are present at the Dawn of this New Day.
A day perceived and hoped for
by all the prophets of old.
Hopefully,
you are one of those rare individuals
that today perceives
the Day in which you are living -
your role in the Eternity -
and are working to awaken others
to the responsibilities they have
as maturing adults emerging from
the childhood of humanity.

Peace and love,
Bruce
