[Arktwo] A marvellous opportunity

This issue of the newsletter is on 
a bit of a different theme.

But first the news. 

For those who cannot accept my paradigm - 
regarding the immediacy of the threat

With these I may have stopped reporting 
analyzing or 
speculating on the news. 
Anyone who reads this newsletter 
can see all that is happening - 
themselves. 

While many other people are oblivious 
to what is happening - 
they don't read this newsletter anyway - 
so there is no need 
to discuss the obvious here.

My apologies to everyone 
that I had promised to answer further questions 
about fallout and radiation. 
I am way behind on emails. 
There are now over five thousand in my in-box 
that I need to go through and answer 
or delete.

Each day I delete over a hundred emails 
of spam and scam - 
as they come in - 
but the numbers still pile up. 

I try to keep up with all current inquiries - 
but I just couldn't answer all the ones 
on radiation and fallout. 
Again my apologies. 

A year ago - 
or more - 
I had to stop discussing with people - 
theoretical plans 
for building a shelter. 
I told people 
that I had the following requirements -
	a. they had to have land (a place to build one)
	b. they had to have a budget no matter how small 
	c. they had to have a timetable.
Otherwise - 
they were to get back to me 
when they met the requirements.

A couple of months ago -
I had to set a new policy 
about visitors to the Ark. 
Coming from a distance - 
plan to stay at least a couple of days 
and help. 
Coming from local driving distance - 
wear work clothes - 
and plan to work for four hours. 

This week - 
five different people just showed up 
uninvited. 

"Can we look inside?" 

"Yes, if you are willing to help for an hour,
because we are busy - 
and I just don't have time 
to show people around."

Three accepted.
One didn't.
And I relented for a mother 
with two small children in tow.
She couldn't have been much help, anyway.

I don't want to be brusque with people, 
but we get more requests for 
visits, media, information, etc. 
in a week now - 
than in a year - 
two years ago.

When the bomb falls - 
we may get a lot of interest. 
How will I be treating people then?
Really concerns me.

I still have immense trouble getting help. 
Lots of offers -
but they seldom show up.
And I don't think it is because 
I am brusque with those who offer. 
Maybe the opposite is the problem - 
that I am too enthusiastic about such offers. 
I don't know.

Beach - STOP it!
You get lots of help from lots of people.

Well, 
that is true. 
There are two mainstays 
right here in the village - 
that help with something or other every week, 
and another two in the village helped this week also - 
one blowing the snow 
out of the shelter lane with a big tractor - 
and one of the mainstays doing our driveway. 

We have a marvellous mechanic 
working on the CAT diesel - 
who spent 8 straight hours on it yesterday - 
and our main worker 
finally left for school earlier this week, 
but says he will still try to come - 
one weekend each month.

Next weekend a crew is scheduled 
to come up for a day from Toronto - 
and my daughter is planning to come 
to help for two days on the weekend.

Most of all - 
I get miracles. 
Miracle after miracle - 
so the real help is coming from angels 
and the Lord.

How can I complain?
Nope - 
no matter how much more help 
I feel that I need - 
I should be grateful 
and counting my blessings -
which are truly immense.

It is just that the task is so large. 
But then again - 
the Lord has sent large help.
Which brings us to the current opportunity. 

Many people see as an opportunity -
that in which they will be benefited - 
rather than that in which they can 
serve God and benefit others.

What is being offered here - 
wouldn't have happened 
if a number of people - 
(mostly State TEAM Leaders) 
had not made this opportunity possible. 
Not many of you will be capable 
of taking advantage of it - 
but if you think that you can 
please tell me. 

BTW - 
Ark Two once again has filled 
all the TEAM Leader slots 
in all 50 US States. 
Many thanks to such a number of people 
who are willing to serve others -
by sending out free CDs to any requests in their state -
for one thing.

Ark Two is focused on 
Reconstruction After Nuclear Holocaust 
and not on survival - 
as many people think.

For this reason, 
we are trying to establish the structure -
and preserve the materials 
that will be needed for reconstruction. 

To this end -
we have assembled 30 CDs 
of carefully selected 
specially identified materials 
for Reconstruction After Nuclear War.

Much of this latest effort 
has been instigated by the effort of WB -
who wishes to remain anonymous -
and I thank him for his generous support. 

Equally also has been the support 
of our TEAM Leader in New Zealand 
who has taken the lead in archiving the material 
in the Southern Hemisphere 
and who is establishing means 
for its broadband transfer to other locales. 

Richard of Survival Ring, 
Thunderlight, and Shane are all making 
very substantial contributions to the effort - 
as are still other people.

Because much of the material involved 
is copyrighted - 
we cannot make public dissemination 
of the material, 
nor can we sell it or even ask for contributions. 

What the plan is - 
is to archive the material 
in a number of places 
around the US and the world, 
so that it will be available 
after the holocaust. 

This material is above and beyond 
the material that is on the free CD, 
even including the (un)sealed xfiles, 
that we have made available in previous years.

However, 
30 CDs is such an immense amount - 
that even using the very advanced 
compression technology -
that our technologically knowledgeable members 
are using - 
that it will take about 4 hours 
to download over a good broadband connection. 
With dial-up - 
forget it.

However, however, 
some of the TEAM are compressing 
all 30 CDs onto 3 or 4 DVDs 
and these we will send out 
to some individuals who can convince me 
of their good intentions - 
and their potential for having them 
available for distribution later.

Because of the broadband demands -
we must even limit the number of people 
who can download them in that way.

Anyone, 
with a better plan - 
or further suggestions 
as to what we should do - 
please communicate them to me. 

I anticipate that this is a one time offer. 
You will probably not hear about it again -
unless you are a TEAM Leader.

Because of the current 
geopolitical situation 
(as per the first two items 
in this newsletter) 
we are trying to make all this happen -
THIS WEEK.

but even though 
I am more surrounded by 
generous and helpful persons -
than anyone I know - 
still - 
I am astounded at how many 
selfish people I run into 
in this world.
