A number of readers have asked
that today I remind them
THAT TONIGHT
on Sunday August 19th
at 10:10 p.m. Eastern Time
(7 p.m. west coast)
You can talk to me on Internet radio
for the balance of the hour
by going to the web site

	www.nowlive.com

and linking into the program
"What Would Jesus Do Now"
(Information at www.wwjsnl.com )

To just listen to the program without participation
just go to the show site.

But if you are willing to talk with me on the show you should also -
at about 10:15 'onward' eastern time
(convert that to your corresponding time)

a. call on your telephone -
	the number 1 (310) 984-7600
b. you will be directed over the phone
	to press the # sign
	and some numbers for WWJDN
c. and then to go on the air live
	press 1 when directed

I am told that you will then be
in a 'waiting room'
that only holds four at a time
and that you will be brought on the air
in order as others finish speaking.

If you find the waiting room full -
then try again ten minutes later.

The topic will be generally about my views
on the inevitability of nuclear war
and the story of Ark Two.

If you are a TEAM Leader,
or are a Project Editor,
or have visited the Ark,
or have built a shelter,
or subscribe to this newsletter -
please identify yourself as such.

----------
Around the bush again.

In my previous newsletter
I provided a link to a breaking story
about an event that had not occurred with Russia
for the last seventeen years.
A number of readers wrote commenting
that the link did not say
the same things as I posted in the newsletter.

That is true.
The link was being updated.
That is the way it is with breaking stories.

I said four bombers.
By the time you read the link it said 14.
I said 'combat duty' -
by the time you read the link it said
'combat alert'
which is more critical.
I had said in my commentary -
the Putin had not asked for 'understanding' -
but by the time you read the link -
the story said that he had.

The next day
additional background information
filled out the story as presented elsewhere.
It was placed into the framework
that in the last ten days
Russian bombers had flown over Guam,
and into Alaskan territory,
and into North Sea areas adjacent to Britain.

Responses were also noted
by the White House,
the US State Department
and the British.
Still and all -
it received zero play in the US MSM
compared to the miners in Utah.

Thousands read my newsletter on this -
and while a few pointed out
the inaccuracies -
(I would say better the inadequacies -
imposed by the restraints of timeliness)
I do hope that most will appreciate
that it is a hazard of trying to stay
on the cutting edge of events -
and even trying to look over the horizon.

For others - they will appreciate better
the greater accepted accuracy of
historical analysis presented a few years later.

-----------
On a similar story that I was discussing -
the MSM gave almost no coverage
(except in localities where it was apparent)
of the bank runs that were taking place
and of people lining up for hours
to get their money out.

--------------
On a third story about -
The NAU
important meeting among the Heads of Government
taking place this week
I find almost nothing again
of substance being reported
in the MSM.

---------------
Fourthly -
all week long
I have watched one MSM
intentional misleading optimistic headline after another
regarding the stock market.
No truly substantial news
or insight there either -
about the nature, method or motives of the PPT
to be found on the main front pages.

All of this leads me to conclude
that the MSM has a mission -
and that is to NOT PANIC THE PUBLIC,
regarding any of these subjects.

There are headline stories
about a few million being spent here and there -
and the ones that particularly irk me
are the self-righteous ones
about money being wasted in social programs -
for the poor -
while many tens of billions are being spent
of the taxpayers money
to rescue the Wealthy Bankers in the stock market.
That is welfare on a ratio of thousands to one
for the wealthy
and represents to me
the gigantic hypocrisy of the MSM,
when they don't point that out -
and I have never seen them do it once.

------------
This brings me to a fifth story -
about leaving Iraq.
Readers have been writing to me
about how eager many of our troops are
to get back to Iraq.

The MSM has been reporting this week
about the Success of the Surge.

For me to be less than supportive
on any of the MSM positions -
I realize that in the eyes of many Americans
is for me to be un-American or anti-American.

Still I see little news blurbs
like the following

http://tinyurl.com/3yhaup

which remind me of the ones a while back
of so many female soldiers
getting pregnant in Iraq
so that they will be sent home -
and I think again -
that I am being manipulated.

----------
The people who vote for war -
the people who make money out of war -
(those same one's who are getting
the big billions from the government
this month)
don't themselves go to Iraq -
and for the most part
don't even send their children.
I consider that hypocrisy.

Searching the Bible
I find that Jesus was more critical
of hypocrites
than of adulterers and liars -
both of which he condemned very strongly.
It is just that his criticism of hypocrites
doesn't seem to carry much weight today -
especially in high places -
and I think that speaks to the times.

------------
Which brings me back
to the subject of
WWJDN -
and tonight's radio program
which was the purpose of my writing this issue
of the newsletter
in the first place.

My obvious sympathies
are with the soldiers on the ground
in Iraq -
as well as with all those being hurt
by the war,
rather than with the millionaires, billionaires
and their struggles in the stock market
and through the means of the war -
to make more money.

Because of that
you would be amazed at how many emails
I will receive saying -
"Beach -
you are a leftist, socialist, communist."

I don't think so -
but I certainly don't like the way
that things stand at the present.

-----------
Conventional wisdom -
seems so often,
in my opinion to lead men astray.

People have strong attachment
to their language, culture, race,
country, religion,
all of which they have just been
coincidently born into.

There are a plethora of other ideas -
which they have gathered -
simply because those are the ideas
that they have always heard expressed around them -
from youth onwards.

It is these ideas
that shape their attitudes
about what is going on in
Iraq, the stock market, the Middle East,
the US government, the monetary system,
and so forth.

Someone wrote to me this week -

"Those of us not trained in economics
(as I am)
can understand a simple fact:
when falling income and rising debt converge
on the same family or business,
the result is financial disaster.
We are at that juncture today,
even a Harvard professor knows
we are speeding swiftly into a major depression!"

What the writer of that paragraph
holds as gospel -
is that the same principles apply
to a nation
as apply to an individual family or business.

But that is not true.
Families and businesses cannot print money.
Governments -
and those who control them do.

For the most part -
I think none of us understand
the forces that are at work in
government, the monetary system,
culture, patriotism, religion
and so forth -
that are leading us into the
gigantic conflagration
that we are about to bring upon ourselves.

However,
we, individually and collectively,
are going to have to work through
and beyond these misconceived prejudices
and biases -
if after the Great Catastrophe
we are going to build a better world
and humanity is going to survive.

Join me tonight -
in that continuing quest,
if your time and circumstances permit.

Peace and love,
Bruce
