When and if 
the launch comes from Israel 
it finally devolves upon four people 
to be in agreement. 
So to speak -
to press the button.

"The four are 
the prime minister, 
the defense minister, 
the chief of staff and 
the commander of the air force."

Oh, many, many voices 
will have gone into the decision - 
and will have collectively made the decision - 
but eventually 
it comes down to that requirement 
for the go ahead.

May not happen that way at all -
of course. 
It may be that some other smaller event 
will precipitate the Great Event.
It could be anything. 
Just some tired maid 
not giving up her seat on the bus.

Has happened before. 
May happen again. 
May be the way it usually happens. 

But - 
the forest has to be dry - 
and the kindling there - 
for the spark to set it off.

The kindling for a world conflagration is there - 
and more rushes to the scene each day. 
Sparks aplenty occur - 
but so far - 
somehow - 
just not that right combination 
to set it all off. 

Will we get through the summer 
without a fire - 
or the winter - 
without a snow. 

Or more to the point - 
the world's preparation 
for a nuclear war - 
without a nuclear war. 

Not likely. 
Those tens of thousands 
of nuclear weapons 
were designed for a purpose. 
Sort of - 
purpose -> plan -> pow!

Back in July - 
I reiterated what had been 
the Sharon (and Netanyahu plan) 
from the beginning.

"Step One -
of the overall plan -
to be out of Gaza, Lebanon,
and as much as possible - the territories -
and behind the safety of the wall.

Step Two
in the plans of the Generals
(Sharon and Netanyahu)
was a pre-emptive strike
against Iran."

Yesterday - 
I spoke of the "Sign" 
that Israel would act immediately -
and that is when Russian sent the TORs 
to Iran - as happened earlier in the week.

Last week -
Israel said "no truce" in the Gaza - 
but suddenly at 6 a.m. this morning 
she whipped all her tanks and troops 
out of there. 

Of course the truce lasted 
until about 6:01 
as the Muslims kept firing rockets - 
but the point is - 
the point. 
Point One above. 

I am sure 
that I am not the only one 
who perceives that in that way.

Iran has been on high alert 
for the last two months - 
with pilots sitting in their planes 
on the end of the runways. 
I don't think that it can affect them 
and that they can go on higher alert.

I have no idea 
on how high alert 
anyone else is. 
The fleets in the Gulf and Mediterranean - 
those manning the war rooms 
in the White House, at the Pentagon, 
at Whitehall and in the Kremlin. 

Bush and Cheney are of course 
off in the Middle East doing what - 
I don't know -
but I would think it has something 
to do with it.

The BIG cabinet meeting in Israel 
should have taken place about 10 hours ago. 
How many hours will be required 
for implementation - 
I don't know - 
but it should only be a matter of hours. 
Forty-eight, seventy-two, 
something of that order. 

At that point - 
the four can flick the switch.
