When I was a boy
we would go to the
Three Ring Circus.

The problem with a three ring circus
is that you are watching something
in one ring -
and miss something in another.

And then there are the clowns on the side -
and the next act gathering at the curtain -
so just way too much to watch.

Your government is about to help!

Beep! Beep!
	"Yes?"
"The world has just ended."

So, now what do you do?
When I say the end of the world -
I mean TEOTWAWKI -
(The End Of The World As We Know It).

If you don't live somewhere
like New York -
you may not immediately know about it
otherwise.

Some who do live somewhere
like New York -
may not know
because they won't know what hit them.

Anyhow,
in my paradigm
the new technology is probably irrelevant -
because it won't be widespread
for several years -
and as I explained in a previous newsletter -
I feel TEOTWAWKI may be less than
50 thousand seconds away.

Such an alert system
would have been sort of like
the Ringmaster at the three ring circus -
	"Now in the center ring we have -"
but -
no Ringmaster (prophet) here -
so you will have to watch all the rings yourself.

Exciting things happening -
in places like Venezuela -
that would have made BIG news -
four or five years ago -
but today -
so much happens in the world -
they don't even make it onto the radarscope.

Last newsletter -
I told you that:
Taiwan is now going to build missiles
to strike China.

And the response from everyone was -
"Ho hum."

Talk about news and crises satiation.
Looks like everyone has run out
of adrenaline.
And just when everything is getting exciting.

I guess we need a drum roll -
and a grand finale.
And that may be just about
what the world is about to get.

Okay,
so a couple of hundred people
were killed by terrorists in India, today.

A year ago this week
53 being killed in UK -
while I was there -
made headline after headline.
But now -
twenty killed in Iraq today -
isn't even news.

Then there is the president of Japan -
saying they need to build nukes and missiles
and to take pre-emptive action against
North Korea.

Bush said today that -
	"North Korea is being uncooperative".
Rice said yesterday that -
	"Iran is being uncooperative".
Israel says everyday that -
	"Syria is being uncooperative".

So-
will there be cooperation
at the G-8 meeting starting Friday.
Not likely.
Russia and China will probably be
uncooperative.

If you are standing outside the tent -
like I am up here in the boonies -
you notice that
the noise inside the tent
is beginning to sound pretty deafening.

Pretty deafening in
Lebanon and Gaza tonight - also.
The Secretary General of the UN
says that Israel shouldn't overreact.

Hey,
when you are on the high trapeze -
with no net -
and the tent has just caught fire -
what is there to overreact.
More like you have just been chosen
as the target for the knife thrower -
and you find out the knife thrower
is the gal that you just jilted.

Nope,
I don't think Israel can just stand there
and let Hezbullah and Hamas
throw knives at it.
More particularly,
it can get VERY exciting
if Israel decides to go after the guy in Syria
who is providing the knives
and calling the shots -
so to speak.
(I am not all that careful about metaphors.)

my wife just asked me.
Well, said I,
if Canada permitted the existence
of terrorist organizations
that were launching rockets from Canada
that were falling on New York and Chicago -
do you not think that the US
might take some action against Canada?

Indeed,
I think in one paradigm
the whole world may be about
to be held responsible for what is planned
in Jerusalem -

International World Pride Convention

It is the whole issue of Divine Retribution.
Some tell me that
an Infinite Loving God
will not exact revenge or retribution.
Okay -
I will buy that, sort of.

But -
I think that it is a confusion
between God's decisive will -
and God's permissive will.
Also man's free will.

First and foremost,
God wishes to maintain man's free will -
to either accept or reject God,
because otherwise man is not man -
but rather would be just an automaton.

One could present a litany
of humankind's sins and shortcomings.
Selfishness (looking at what nations spend
on warfare when there is so much poverty).
Intolerance in the name of race and religion -
whereas God created only one human race -
and provided religion for the purpose
of our loving Him and one another.
Lack of respect of life demonstrated in
warfare, terrorism and abortion.

Materiality and immorality also top the list.
This particular issue of homosexuality
seems insignificant to many -
but it is presently the most religious affront -
in fact 'in your face' affront to God
that exists.
THAT is the very reason that
those who espouse it
have chosen Jerusalem.

Presenting a discussion such as this
will bring charges of homophobia -
but I have no fear of homosexuality -
nor even any great distaste for it.

Homosexuality would be fine with me -
if it were fine with God.
Therein is the problem.
Those who advocate homosexuality -
reject the idea that
it is rejected by God.

This is a prime example
of why it is important to recognize
the Manifestation of God
to one's own day and age.
It is the only way to determine
what is acceptable and required by God today.

Admittedly,
times and circumstances change -
and God's social teachings change.
Whether or not you consider it important
to not eat pork,
for males to be circumcised,
or for women to cover their heads in church -
depends upon where you think
the latest authoritative teachings of God
are to be found.

The Judeo, Christian, Islamic teachings -
are very specific regarding homosexuality.
Those who would choose other religions -
or make up their own -
may come to other conclusions.
People are free to choose as they will -
but that does not mean
their choice will be acceptable to God.

In my religion -
God has said:

...Whenever My laws appear like the sun
in the heaven of Mine utterance,
they must be faithfully obeyed by all,
though My decree be such as to cause
the heaven of every religion to be cleft asunder.
		(Baha'u'llah, The Kitab-i-Aqdas, p. 21)

Blessed is the man that hath acknowledged his
belief in God and in His signs, and recognized that
"He shall not be asked of His doings". Such a
recognition hath been made by God the ornament of
every belief and its very foundation. Upon it must
depend the acceptance of every goodly deed. Fasten

rebellious may not cause you to slip.

Were He to decree as lawful the thing which from
time immemorial had been forbidden, and forbid that

Thus it is that my religion forbids:
	the use of alcohol and recreational drugs
	cremation
	belief in re-incarnation
	homosexuality
	polygamy
	polyandry
and so forth.

Anyone
may see some or all of the above
as being good -
but it is not a matter of human judgement
but rather simply the decree of God -
for those who have recognized the Manifestation.

Should God decree the opposite -
then that is what would be good.
The world currently faces a population problem.
If God had decreed as a solution -
that men were to marry only men -
and women only women -
and that procreation was to be
only by artificial insemination -
then that is what should be.

Polyandry would certainly be another solution -
especially for the 150 million surplus Chinese males -
and could certainly well be a mechanism
for raising the social standard of living.
But God has decreed the opposite.

In fact -
Genesis 1:28
And God blessed them, and God said unto them,
Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth,

seems to still be the relevant command -
and that the earth shall soon again
need replenishing.

I hear from many who are angry with God -
that His permissive will
would bring man to such a state -
that the Divine Retribution
would come into effect.
However, God does not suspend
the law of gravity
for those who would test Him
by jumping off buildings -

Luke 4:9
And he brought him to Jerusalem,
and set him on a pinnacle of the temple,
and said unto him,
If thou be the Son of God,
cast thyself down from hence:

4:10 For it is written,
He shall give his angels charge over thee,
to keep thee:

4:11 And in their hands they shall bear thee up,
lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.

4:12 And Jesus answering said unto him,
It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

So,
perhaps once more -
man is about to meet God in Jerusalem
to tempt Him regarding morality
in the use of sex and weapons.

I have given a timetable
in the last few newsletters
and events seem to be pretty much
sticking with it.

As they say in the world of rocket launches -
50 thousand minus seconds and counting -
with no scheduled holds remaining.
