Taiwan is now going to build missiles
to strike China.

Much more world destabilizing
and a much greater threat
than are North Korea's.
TAIPEI (Reuters) - Taiwan plans to test-fire a missile capable of hitting
China, alarming the island's main ally, the United States, a cable news
network said on Thursday.
The Hsiung Feng III, developed by Taiwan's Chungshan Institute of Science
and Technology, has a range of 600 km (360 miles) and is accurate to within
half a meter, the online edition of cable news network ETTV
(http://www.ettoday.com) said, quoting unnamed military sources.
That range would put areas along China's coast from Fuzhou in Fujian
Province to Nan'ao in Guangdong within striking distance of the missile,
These are not inaccurate like
North Korea's Ding Dong
or the Palestinians Ali Kazams.
These Taiwan Missiles would have ACCURACY
and be a real threat to China.
BAD MOVE.
China already has many hundreds
of such missiles aimed at Taiwan -
AND WILL USE THEM,
with what it considers provocation.
China also has nukes.
I doubt that China will go to the UN
about Taiwan
as Japan has about North Korea.
Some talk -
and some walk.
US has the attitude -
missiles and nukes -
good for me -
bad for you.
Would Americans buy the reverse -
say missiles and nukes
good for China or Russia -
bad for the US?
Oh well,
we all know where this leads.
-------
July 4th -
was a great holiday for the US.
The Shuttle worked
and North Korea's missile didn't.
The back-to-back delays cost NASA more than $1.5 million in overtime pay and
fuel costs.
A small incremental cost
to the overall activity.
---------
Space and chemtrails.
Here is an informative link
about the latter.

Absolutely no need to try
to convince the believers otherwise.
I know.
I am married to one.
---------
Speaking of the 4th
and believers.
I receive a lot of emails
like the following:
"Indeed, the signers of America's Declaration of Independence endured the
sacrifice of toil and blood. Pertaining to the lives of the signers, David
Limbaugh writes, 'Of those 56 who signed the Declaration of Independence,
nine died of wounds or hardships during the war. Five were captured and
imprisoned, in each case with brutal treatment. Several lost wives, sons or
entire families. One lost his thirteen children. Two wives were brutally
treated. All were at one time or another the victims of manhunts and driven
from their homes. Twelve signers had their homes completely burned.
Seventeen lost everything they owned.'"
Finally got around to Snopesing it.

No matter what link
I might send you about Iran -
their position will change
within 12 to 24 hours.
http://english.peopledaily.com.cn/20...02_279347.html
Iran again refused on Sunday a western deadline to respond to a six-nation
package aimed at defusing a nuclear standoff.
--------------
Hamas just gets nastier
and nastier.
Hamas: We'll target schools
http://tinyurl.com/gfpa7
The whole situation gets nastier
and nastier.
The key may turn out be Syria.
Turkey talking with the Hamas leader
in Syria -
who is supposed to be behind it all.
Rumour is that the Hamas leader
and his family -
have left the country
to hide somewhere else.
Syria would certainly like Israel
to believe that rumour.
-----------
VIENNA, Austria - Western powers will reactivate efforts to punish Iran
through possible U.N. Security Council sanctions unless it suspends uranium
enrichment and agrees to talks on its nuclear program by July 12, diplomats
said Monday.
http://tinyurl.com/k7re5
Iran was given a deadline -
a long time ago -
and then the 29th of June -
and then the 5th of July -
and now the 12th of July.
No matter.
After the 15th of July -
there will just be talk about sanctions
by the Security Council -
and on and on
and around and around
the wheel will go.
There are no real deadlines.
---------
BUT -
there are real events.
AND one never knows
when one will happen.
The problem,
is that I am not a prophet.
In the end my guesses are
as erratic and irrational
as anyone's.
Robert McNamara,
in the documentary interview
"The Fog of War" -
tells how although they stopped the ships
going to Cuba -
that he found out years later
that other Missiles had already arrived there.
Recently we found out
that a nuclear armed Russian sub
was also trailing the freighters.
McNamara in visiting Vietnam -
long after his retirement
became convinced
that the domino theory was fallacious.
When such a brilliant, insightful man -
with such inside knowledge
can look back years later and find out
that his expectations at the time
were all wrong -
what can we expect from Bruce Beach.
People around me always say -
"For forty years you have had these expectations",
and yes that is true -
just like for forty years I have expected to die -
but now -
I must surely be closer to the day that I will -
and closer to the day that the 'expectations'
will be fulfilled.
Some / many, of course,
don't think the 'expectations' will ever be fulfilled.
To me -
it seems that the threats today -
are much greater than they were
during the Cuban Missile Crises,
when the whole world sort of stopped
and became glued to the TV -
as the ships approached Cuba.
Kennedy and Khrushchev appeared to be
more rational leaders -
than the leaders of N. Korea and Iran.
The proliferation of nukes -
and the stress of world events seems much greater -
and we appear to have a situation in Israel
that is capable of igniting it all.
But still -
I don't know.
The lull of the last few days seems to be
extending.
So, it now looks like
the meeting with G-8
will proceed on the 15th,
and Russia and China will be more on side with the US
about Iran.
Things have gone quite positively for the US
this week.
NK still has nukes -
but is somewhat less immediately threatening
than when it was about to launch its big missile -
and Japan and the UN will as usual -
just talk.
I guess if any one date
immediately concerns me -
it is the
August 6-12,

International Jerusalem World Pride Convention
If ever there was a statement of
"In Your Face - God"
this does seem to be it.
A big 'gay' convention was scheduled
for New Orleans
the week after Katrina.
I considered THAT a warning -
but I guess no one else did.
On a more geopolitical sense,
we are still looking at:
1. The Israel / Hamas / Syria confrontation
2. An October Surprise (more likely in August or September) from Bush
3. Some other unexpected trigger.
G-8 sanctions vis-à-vis Iran
seem capable of dragging out forever -
and Russia does not seem likely
to send fuel for Iran's reactors -
or the TORs to defend them -
in the present circumstances
(both of which would be triggering events).
Iran will continue its enrichment -
but 'official' position is that
they are a couple of years away
from having a nuke.
So- no one wants to bite the bullet.
I do think it highly likely -
in the next five weeks -
but that is my nature.
So -
I do bite the bullet -
as far as my own actions are concerned.
So to speak -
we bet the bundle.
Putting everything that we can
towards preparation
and holding nothing back.
Had the big tractor in this week -
with the Haybind to cut the grass
around the shelter.
Then the next day
the medium tractor with the bush-hog.
And yesterday
a small tractor to cut the grass
around the trees -
something that we will continue tomorrow.
All this in preparation
for the High Hoe and grader -
but don't know when they will show up.
Hopefully, tomorrow or Monday.
Also supposed to get several more trucks of fill -
as we finish the entrances for the semis.
Last week we put in a forty foot 24 inch culvert -
and made arrangement for 20 beehives to come.
All these things are immensely expensive -
amounting to many thousands of dollars -
which we don't actually have -
having to borrow money to pay for them.
With all that -
I can't advise another person.
It costs a single individual
about $1500 a month
(economies of scale for families)
to come and stay in this area.
We make no restrictions on anyone -
coming to the Ark.
They just have to be able to hold out
in the vicinity on their own.
We do stay intensely busy,
with six gardens
and much else to do -
and we would welcome all the help
that we could get.
That, however, has been the lifestyle,
at Ark Two,
for many years.
The thing that seems different
at the moment -
is that so much seems to be coming together.
That is probably only meaningful to me.
Peace and love,
Bruce
