[Arktwo] Peace has been declared

Peace has been declared.

But it is unlikely
to slow up the war.

All three sides:
	Lebanon
	Israel
	Hezbollah
have agreed to the truce.

HOWEVER -

1. Israel says that
it will not withdraw its forces
until the UN International Force is in place.

2. Hezbollah says that it will not stop fighting
until Israel withdraws.
(If you can believe that it would then).

So -
you can see where that all leads.

NEVERTHELESS -
the truce is scheduled to begin at 7 a.m. Monday.

If that is 7 a.m. Israeli time -
then when you get up tomorrow morning
Israel will be at peace.

DON'T BET ON It !

Well,
my anticipated day
(August 12th)
for the WRATH of God -
to descend upon Jerusalem
as it descended upon Sodom and Gomorrah
has come and gone -
with the completion of the
World Gay Pride Conference there - yesterday.

As Jonah -
who found himself in a whale of a fix -
observed -
Jonah 3:9
"Who can tell if God will turn and repent,
and turn away from his fierce anger,
that we perish not?"

Jonah was a bit miffed
that God did not carry through
on His punishment for Nineveh -
but it just goes to show
that we can't predict what God will do.

The next prediction up,
however,
is that of the Iranian
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad
who is promising some great
answer or event
to the world
on August 22nd.

Here are a couple of links
that you can look at
about that:

The story at the above was:

WSJ: Scholar Warns Iran's Ahmadinejad May Have 'Cataclysmic Events' In Mind
For August 22

In a WALL STREET JOURNAL op-ed Tuesday, Princeton's Bernard Lewis writes:
"There is a radical difference between the Islamic Republic of Iran and
other governments with nuclear weapons. This difference is expressed in what
can only be described as the apocalyptic worldview of Iran's present
rulers."

"In Islam as in Judaism and Christianity, there are certain beliefs
concerning the cosmic struggle at the end of time -- Gog and Magog,
anti-Christ, Armageddon, and for Shiite Muslims, the long awaited return of
the Hidden Imam, ending in the final victory of the forces of good over
evil, however these may be defined."

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad "and his followers clearly believe that this
time is now, and that the terminal struggle has already begun and is indeed
well advanced. It may even have a date, indicated by several references by
the Iranian president to giving his final answer to the US about nuclear
development by Aug. 22," which this year corresponds "to the 27th day of the
month of Rajab of the year 1427. This, by tradition, is the night when many
Muslims commemorate the night flight of the prophet Muhammad on the winged
horse Buraq, first to 'the farthest mosque,' usually identified with
Jerusalem, and then to heaven and back (c.f., Koran XVII.1).

"This might well be deemed an appropriate date for the apocalyptic ending of
Israel and if necessary of the world. It is far from certain that Mr.
Ahmadinejad plans any such cataclysmic events precisely for Aug. 22. But it
would be wise to bear the possibility in mind."

The following is a link
to a story in the New Yorker
which agrees with my assessment
about the White House intentions
regarding Iran.

Declarations by the UN -
Agreements in Israel to a truce -
Silence from Iran and Syria -
all is just words -
or a lack of words -
but it is the actions
that I think will speak.

Checking the statistics at this hour -
for this day -
the greatest number of rockets fired
by Hezbollah
in any one day -
has been today.
It appears to be going over 250.

The greatest amount of bombardment
by Israel
in any one day -
has been today.
They have also had their greatest number
of military casualties for one day.
Looks to be going over 25.

As to civilian casualties -
on both sides -
it is sort of -
"Who's counting".
In a related issue -

"Most of the cases have gunshot wounds to the head. Some of them were
strangled and others were beaten to death with clubs." -- Baghdad morgue
assistant manager Dr. Abdul Razzaq al-Obaidi, in an interview with Reuters,
on the percentage of violent deaths among the 1,815 dead taken to the
facility in July, the highest tally in five months of rising sectarian
bloodshed "

But then -
who now believes Reuters,
about anything.

Anyway, tell me that
in Israel
a truce is about to happen.
Nope -
if you read the above New Yorker article -
and my previous three newsletters on
"What's Happening"
you can see that events are in line
for the expected showdown
with Iran and Syria.

Even Ahmadinejad
is convinced that the US and Israel
are coming after Iran.

He should be.

And I think Russia and China are also so convinced.

There seems little question
that Hezbollah is using
equipment and technology
supplied to it by Russia and China
along a path through Iran and Syria.

I am making every effort
to prepare for what I think
will be the ultimate catastrophic
world event.

Deadlines are difficult.
Iran has been given a deadline
of August 29th
to conform to a UN resolution.
Not that they will -
and when they don't
they may be taken out and given
thirty lashes -
with a wet noodle -
but such severity is unlikely.

The 29th is two weeks away -
and the 22nd comes in between -
and while the truce supposedly starts tomorrow -
I suspect that things will continue to escalate
in one fashion or another
for the next month.
That will bring us to a sort of
early October Surprise sometime in September.

Sometime ago I stated my expectation
that by Monday July 3:
"All hell likely to having broken loose
between Israel and Hamas and Hezbollah."

Later in "What is Happening" -
I explained that my understanding
of the strategy of how all this leads up
to the attack on Iran and Syria.
Now I am saying such hell is likely to breakout
for the world in September.
That is not that far off.

Daily I received emails
telling me that my expectations are erroneous.
That peace is about to be declared -
that tomorrow, next month, next year -
will be pretty much the same
as the last.

Yep,
usually I am wrong -
but -
if ever I am right -
then -
people had better have
"Gotten Out of the Cities".

Prepare, prepare, prepare,
is my daily activity -
from early morning
until late evening here.
For the last week
got about six hours sleep each day -
which is very little for me.

Today appears to be a day off -
the first in I don't know how long -
because no helpers have shown up.
I slept for ten hours -
and am rested and caught up.
My wife says I needed that.
Probably right -
but I look at all that has to be done.

It looks like I have worn out
all the local friends.
But still -
lots more to do.

Very grateful for the assistance
of several visitors during the last week.
The welcome mat is still out -
for any who want to come and work.

Peace and love,
Bruce
